"Oh wow, m-i-s-s-i-s-s-i-p-p-i"

hey hey hey from never never land!

So every time I say I am from MS, people always spell it out.  They either say, "Oh wow, m-i-s-s-i-s-s-i-p-p-i" or they say, "Oh! m-i-crooked letter-crooked letter-i-crooked letter-crooked letter-i-humpback-humpback-i."  I guess that's what they learned about MS in school? Ha now sure.. Haha it's quite humorous.  Anyway.  Last night we went to some of our friends cookout  for their birthdays.  It was so random and we hardly knew anyone there, but by the end of the night we were all great friends.  We just cooked out, played horseshoes, and other games.  There was a dog there and when his owner said, "go get a beer" the dog would open the refrigerator and get a beer.  I met a girl from Memphis which was nice and several people who have family or have been to MS so that was nice, too.
We've also had two random guys living with us for the past two nights, so that's been interesting, but so fine.  They both work with my roommate, Liz, and they're so nice and great (have jobs but still looking for a house) so it hasn't been a problem @ all, just random!
This weekend is Memorial Weekend so it's suppose to be quite busy here, then it'll die down again and then kick back up in late June, early July I think.
I absolutely love the houses here! I've been running, getting a feel for the town, and it's so fun because you see everyone all the time and the scenery is wonderful to look at, so running is never boring.  The houses are just so cute.  White, with black or essex green shutters, perfectly manicured lawns, so green, white picket fences, vines growing on the houses--it's so neat.
I'm still waiting to se Meg Ryan! She has a house on Chappaquiddick and often comes to town and supports the stores.  Ah! One day!
A lot of people work @ restaurants @ night, and because everything is so close together in town, after work everyone goes to a popular bar called The Wharf.  It's really laid back right now.  I hear I better enjoy the chillness of it now because once season starts it gets a little crazy and crowded!
