Continuation of the 4th

July 4th was super fun.. after Alli and I went to the farmer's market I had to head straight to work. Work was fine; since it was so busy it went by pretty fast and I had the parade to look forward to.  It was one of our best-selling days!  Around 5 Nancy let me off so I could find a good place to watch the parade.  Alli and I ended up just watching it right in front of the store anyway!  Nancy had bought some Champagne so we three closed the store and sipped on that while the parade went by.  The parade was really cute. I'm kinda partial to the 4th of July parade in Seaside, and I must say this wasn't nearly AS good... There was no candy or beads or crazy crazy people.  Honestly it seemed like a bunch of old people who were in office for the city, the police force, fire dept. etc., a lot of advertisement for stores, some really cute floats though with cute kids and crazy dressed-up people.. but I was really tired and hungry so as soon at the parade ended, Alli and I met Kelsey at Atlantic for dinner. We sat outside--such a beautiful view of the harbor I can't go there enough.  We took our time enjoying each other's company and we were delighted when our waiter gave us a free bottle of wine.  At 9 p.m. the fireworks started so we hurried from dinner to the harbor to get a view of the fireworks.  They were gorgeous as usual, then we went to our friends' boathouse to hang out the rest of the night.  It was a great 4th, and I'm just so glad I got to spend it with Allison!  It was so sad to see her go.. I absolutely hate seeing people leave on the ferry.

Celebrity sightings--> Luke Wilson is in town and I see him waaaayyyyyy too much.  I think I might just say "hey Luke" because I see him too often to not say hey--haha we'll see..  Liz sat next to Meg Ryan as she had her daily dose of coffee at Espresso Love..  And the other night Callie, Liz and I were in the car about to pull into a parking place, and so Callie is about to turn and we almost (kinda sorta) hit this woman!  And then we realized it was Meg!  What would have happened if we had hit Meg?!

Our friend Kelsey is in town for a few days and she has access to a private beach in Chilmark called Moshup beach.  Liz, Callie, Kelsey, Kaitlin, and I went there today--it was so beautiful!  It was nice because it wasn't crowded at all.  We laid out for a while then we walked about 30 or 40 min to the cliffs and played in the clay and wrote all over each other and took pictures--it was so beautiful and so much fun!  AH! BUT to get there you have to walk past this nude beach which was absolutely a shocking and scarring experience haha very very interesting...  I'll put up pictures later! (not of the nude people but of the beach!) :)

HARRY POTTER comes out TOMORROW!!!! Yay!!!!! BUT I don't think it comes here for a while! :(  I'm re-reading the 6th book to refresh my memory... so good!

  1. Hey Anna! Don't kill your Mom for letting me keep up with you. I know you have had a great summer and don't want to come back. I told her if you went you wouldn't want to come home! LOL! Really I'm glad you got to go. All you missed here was a major heat wave! Miss you.
